Katherine DeMeo Kusterer, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience providing care to individuals across the lifespan. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University and completed advanced post-doctoral training in School Psychology at Adelphi University.

Dr. Kusterer currently works within the school system, where she collaborates with adolescents and their families to address the social, emotional, and developmental challenges that many young people face today. She also serves as an adjunct professor at the Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology at Adelphi University, where she contributes to the training and mentorship of future psychologists.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Kusterer utilizes a multi-modal approach tailored to each client’s needs. Her foundation in psychodynamic training underscores the profound influence that relationships have on mental health, and she places particular importance on exploring family and peer dynamics as part of the therapeutic process.
